Excellent governance is central to the values, culture and strategy of CML

The Board plays a crucial role in shaping a positive culture and good relationships between all stakeholders, which supports our strategic objectives and drives positive long-term, sustainable performance.  To maintain excellent governance, our policies and procedures are continually reviewed and developed to comply with legislative and industry requirements. Complementing our company values and continuing to build on our collaborative work ethos, CML are currently working towards certification to ISO 44001, Collaborative Business Relationship Management Systems.

Our policies are communicated to all employees and promote clear corporate objectives, to ensure we all consistently deliver the standards required.

Our values and principles govern the approach we take towards significant disciplines such as safety, wellbeing, quality and sustainability. They also set out how we relate to key stakeholders including employees, clients and our supply chain partners. CML hold the following recognised qualifications to support our role as a Principal Contractor in the rail industry. We are committed to investing in the development of our employees and the continual progression of our business, while being proud to be members of a number of respected groups that reflect and enhance our company values, which help to achieve our goals.

  • Community Engagement

    During the last year, we were actively involved in ‘Give Construction a Try‘, a community interest company that exists to promote construction as a career to schoolchildren in areas of extreme deprivation and in the last twelve months have engaged with over 300 school leavers who would otherwise be likely to be designated as Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).
