Volunteering with Leeds City Council Nature Conservation team

This month a team of CML staff volunteered their services to Leeds City Council’s Nature Conservation team to undertake conservation work at two of their sites.

David Preston, Countryside Ranger said about our team, which was led by Mick Simmons, Site Manager, ‘It was an absolute pleasure to host and lead your team on nature conservation tasks at Eccup Whin, Nature Area and Golden Acre Park, your team were fantastic and have helped us get in front with important nature conservation work, I’m really grateful for their contribution and efforts.’

At Eccup Whin, CML were joined by staff from Kier and at Golden Acre Park, staff from Kier and Leeds College of Building (tutors and support staff) were also volunteering.

CML are committed to making a positive impact on our environment and look forward to working with the conservation team in the near future. Well done to Mick and his team of volunteers!
