Supporting our local railway community is important to us, the community benefits of this sponsorship is that it supports over 5000 children and adults directly involved in the various leagues as well as their families (with over 1000 of these being girls involved with football).
Barry Casterton, our Planning Manager based in York, is a member of the Football Association Council and President of North Riding County Football Association. Barry’s football focus has always been in York and District where he administers Leagues at Adult Male, Womens’, Girls and Youth level.

Barry Casterton, our Planning Manager based in York, is a member of the Football Association Council and President of North Riding County Football Association. Barry’s football focus has always been in York and District where he administers Leagues at Adult Male, Womens’, Girls and Youth level.

Once a football referee, Barry is still involved in the discipline side of Football for the FA and County FA, where he chairs discipline hearings for those who have strayed from the laws of the game. Barry is also a champion for Mental health and safeguarding children as he volunteers as a Mental Health Champion for Referees and a Child and Vulnerable Adult Welfare Officer.
