On Thursday 14th March, CML attended the Chapel Allerton Primary British Science Week Fair.
Tommy Crook (Training Officer), Faye Corkett (Content Marketing Manager) and Brooke Long (Civil Engineering Apprentice) joined others promoting careers in Science. We had a five minute window to give the Year 5 and 6 children an insight into civil engineering and the skills needed to pursue a career in this industry.
Lots of fun was had, getting the children to build a bridge using our specially designed building blocks. Once completed we discussed with the children all the elements of a bridge using the picture on the blocks.
No work site would be complete without wearing protective hi visibility clothing and hard hats!

I am writing to thank you for your contribution to our Science Careers Market yesterday. I was blown away by how much preparation had gone into your stall and the children really enjoyed spending time with you all. Please find attached your certificate and some photos and thanks again for your time and enthusiasm – I hope we have inspired some scientists of tomorrow!
