Children at Ashfield Primary enhancing their STEM knowledge
CML recently spent the day at Ashfield Primary School in Otley, Leeds, where a team of our STEM Ambassadors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) delivered sessions throughout the day to 180 students.
The CML team delivered fun practical sessions of building a tetrahedron. The aim is to encourage young people, from all backgrounds, to see themselves in the many different careers in civil engineering and construction and challenge long-standing stereotypes of our industry. These sessions are also designed to compliment the national curriculum in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. A rewarding and enjoyable day for all.
Thank you to Claire Crossland, Faye Thorne, and Harrison Firth for their enthusiastic support.
