CML achieves maximum score in Achilles UVDB assessment

Two audits, two days and a perfect result for the business.

We’re delighted to share that CML has successfully passed both the Management Systems Evaluation and the Site Audit elements of the Achilles UVDB assessment, achieving the maximum score.

This result is a testament to the robust systems, standards and processes we have in place across the business and, most importantly, to the people who make them work every day.

Our thanks go to everyone who contributed to the audit, and in particular to our operations team, who were on site at Doncaster for the site audit element. Their hard work and professionalism made the difference.

What this means for CML

  • Approved supplier status: CML is now an approved supplier on the UVDB Powered by Achilles database.
  • Greater visibility: Our company profile and credentials will be published on the UVDB portal, increasing our visibility to major utility and infrastructure clients.
  • Stronger tendering: The result strengthens our ability to tender for new opportunities.
  • Less repeated pre-qualification: The accreditation provides independent verification of our systems and processes, reducing the need for repeated pre-qualification assessments.

Our Quality Manager, Gary Rawlingson commented “I just want to say a big thank you from the compliance team to all those involved during the 4-day BSI audit on the Sheffield office and site operations.

Tim from BSI was keen to highlight the knowledge, professionalism, and pride in their work demonstrated by everyone involved throughout the audit process. The ability to confidently discuss their responsibilities and provide the required documentation and demonstrate our insight system promptly was particularly noteworthy, and he specifically asked for his appreciation to be passed on to all those who supported this over the four days.”

We’re proud of this achievement and look forward to the opportunities it will open up.
