Insight into Civil Engineering
Last Friday, 20 students joined us at our Leeds office for the CML Apprenticeship Open Day – now in its 5th year.
The day is designed to give students a real insight into what an apprenticeship with CML involves, and a first look into the world of civil engineering.
Across the day, students took part in five interactive 30-minute sessions, learning about different parts of our business and the industry.
One of the highlights? A bridge-building challenge, where teams put their engineering thinking to the test – with a prize up for grabs!
Through hands-on activities and conversations with our team, the students gained a better understanding of what a career in civil engineering and quantity surveying can look like, and whether this path might be right for them.
A big thank you to our Training Team, Apprentices and support staff who continue to make this event possible year after year.
It’s fantastic to see the enthusiasm and curiosity from the next generation – and we look forward to hopefully welcoming some of them back in the future as part of the CML apprenticeship programme.
