Victorian retaining wall rebuild at Finsbury Park

At Finsbury Park Station in North London, CML have recently completed a full parapet re-build to a Victorian era retaining wall, adjacent to the station. The works undertaken were to preserve this very old and large structure and to prevent the need to introduce a new retaining solution to the railway infrastructure behind, therefore losing the aesthetic appeal of this longstanding piece of engineering.

The wall is 160m in length and between 7m and 9m in height, with works undertaken across the entire structure. The works location was extremely tight and the logistics of moving resources around the site was challenging. Well done to the site based CML team and our supply chain partners, AW Group and Lea Scaffolding in delivering this project.
