CML’s Projects team have successfully completed the installation of a 520sqm ‘Resin Bound’ flooring system around the ticket barriers inside Leeds City Train Station on behalf of the Network Rail Direct Delivery Team.
The existing dilapidated surface was completely renewed, breaking out the existing surface, installing new frames and covers to access chambers, undertaking concrete repairs and installing a new asphalt base coat with an anti-slip resin-bound finish. The new finish provides a much safer and more attractive environment for passengers and station users.
A challenging scheme to deliver with over 30,000 pedestrians moving through the station every day. But all challenges were overcome with minimal disruption to station operations thanks to the experience, capability and commitment of the delivery team, putting passengers first.
