Exciting times at CML!
Last Wednesday, we were thrilled to launch our Graduate Development Programme in Sheffield with the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES).
The session kicked off with an opening speech by our Managing Director Charles Mortimer, followed by Mark Roper and Gavin Smith, who shared insights into the opportunities CICES can offer candidates.
The event featured presentations, a networking lunch, and CICES Surgeries hosted by Dominic Lane and Rachel Hames, sparking inspiring conversations about the various pathways available to progress qualifications – no matter your starting point.
As Dominic Lane put it:
“CML is setting the standard for early-career development.”
“The ADS sits alongside their apprenticeship provision and graduate training scheme, creating multiple pathways for talent to thrive. As a gold member of the 5% Club, CML is championing a workforce where at least 5% are actively developing through apprenticeships, sponsored student roles and graduate programmes. The energy and enthusiasm in the room spoke volumes about CML’s genuine commitment to their people.”
Commenting on the launch, Angie Leigh, CML Training and Development Manager, said:
“Our CICES Approved Development Scheme launch at our Sheffield office on 10th December inspired our teams by highlighting the various pathways available to progress their qualifications, regardless of their starting point, and we were delighted by the strong level of interest and potential uptake of the scheme.
“Alongside our Apprenticeship Programme, the introduction of this Approved Development Scheme reinforces our commitment to continuous professional development. It enables employees to achieve industry-recognised qualifications and demonstrates our ongoing investment in our people and, ultimately, our industry”.
We are excited about the Programme starting early next year, and what the future holds for our candidates joining from CML.
